Lodge Home, is a luxury vacation retreat of 100+ acres located in the Mount Lassen area of Shasta County, California. At an elevation of 2800, it is accessible year-round. The spacious 3,500 square foot lodge style home has 5 bedroom suites (each with private bath) along with 3,000 square feet of deck and porches. The lodge home is completely private and not visible from anywhere off of the property.
Completed in 1998, the air conditioned lodge home is a rustic ranch style structure built in the fashion of grand western mountain homes of the 19th century. The home is built entirely of wood. The interior is knotty ponderosa pine and the exterior is incense cedar, all from our forest and milled on the property.
A 1000 square ft. sun deck extends over our one acre (catch and release) trout pond. The pond is full of rainbow trout ranging in size from 1-6 lbs. In addition, the pond is both home and recreation to a variety of wild life including geese, ducks, wild turkeys, osprey and deer.
The property is traversed by Rock Creek, an artesian stream that runs clear and cold all year. It is home to small and aggressive native rainbow trout.
Lodge Home is a destination in itself, however ... if you wish to explore the surrounding area, the following attractions are all within an hours drive: Lake Shasta, Whiskytown Lake, Lake Almanor, the Sacramento River, Mount Lassen and Lassen National Park, Hat Creek and the Pit River as well as numerous mountain creeks and streams. Along with the historic towns of Red Bluff, Redding, Whiskytown and Chester.
