| | Pu'u poa 413 is a wonderful vacation condo. It is decorated very beautifully and all the furnishings seem very high quality but at the same time it is welcoming, comfortable and relaxing. They layout is good, there's lots of space, and it's very well equipped.
The pool at Pu'u Poa is fairly small but adequate and there are tennis courts here too.
The condo is well located in Princeville. We loved the North shore of Kauai. There are some great beaches to explore and other activities close by too.
We are definitely going back next year.

| | We recently stayed in Pu'u Poa # 413. Amy, the manager was very friendly, professional and helpful. We spent 6 nights for our 3rd anniversary. The condo was very spacious, luxurious and clean! We are spoiled now - no hotels ever again! The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked several of our meals in, and utilized the BBQ on the lanai. The views of the water were so beautiful, with the beach below, as well as the stars at night, that it made it very difficult to come inside! Thankfully, the ocean can be seen from the inside from almost every room. We walked to the property next door to fully view the sunsets and saw a whale one evening! We will always cherish the time we had staying in this beautiful home, and plan to return next year! |

| | We stayed in Pu'u Poa 413 in late May 2010 and pretended to be well off (we got a great deal from amy Grant at Great Vacation Retreats). The condo was just as expected - spacious, clean, remodeled, with extras like generous amounts of Island Soap and Candleworks gift packages (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath gel), a well stocked kitchen (pots/pans, lot of nice dishes and utensils), and a pantry with leftovers (which we added to when we left). In addition, there were 6 large beach towels (apparently new), 3 boogie boards and a couple of larger ones, a few sets of masks, snorkels, fins, sand toys, tennis rackets, and a gas BBQ we used on the large lanai. I do think a large umbrella at the slate table would be a nice addition to the lanai. We played tennis once (not easy to play when it's muggy and warm), and I swam in the pool a couple of times. It's not large but nice to cool off when you're tired of the beach (if that's even possible!)
There were flat screen TVs in the living roo |

| | This condo is fully stocked with everything - beach toys, snorkle gear, plush bath & beach towels, nice bed linens, games, books, movies, plenty of fans, washer/dryer, and starter sets for coffee & laundry to help you get by until your first supply run.
Check-in was a breeze. Having high-speed Wifi was so convenient, and the owners even provided an all-in-one printer/fax/copier/scanner. Nice Tv's, DVD players and stereo. All the furniture was good quality and comfortable. Well-stocked kitchen had granite countertops & stainless steel appliances. Updated bathrooms, including a 2-person shower, were luxurious. Entire condo beautifully decorated.
View from the balcony was amazing - not facing Bali Hai, but stunning nonetheless. Location was super. Close enough to walk to Puu Poa Beach next to St. Regis, if climbing down the trail to Pali Ke Kua (Hideaways) Beach is too intimidating. Also just a short drive to Queen's Bath for lava shelf water fun. Many restaurants, shops & a grocery |

| | My husband and I recently spent two weeks at Puu Poa 413. Of all of the vacation rentals that I have stayed at, this one had the best management. It was sparkling clean when we checked in, and the amenities in the condo were top notch. There were even nice touches like instructions on how to work appliances and the TV, etc.
The location provided easy access to several excellent beaches, and the views were amazing. The furnishings are newer and the beds are very comfortable. Beach towels, boogie boards, etc. are all available for your use. The unit does not have air conditioning, and as it is a top floor unit, it does get hot in the afternoon and evening.
Puu Poa #413 is priced higher than many other condos in the area, I think due to: 1) it is much larger at about 1500 sq feet, 2) it is oceanfront, and 3) it is upgraded with premium appliances and televisions/cable, etc.
If you are looking for bargain accommodations, you will be better off choosing a condo such as alii Kai. T |

| | We recently ended our 18 day stay in Kauai with 6 days in Princeville at Pu'u Poa #413 and we definitely "saved the best for last"! The condo was spectacular! Inside was very roomy, spotless, everything we needed - outside was the most beautiful view ever! And you could see the Pacific from almost every room. The location was terrific - right next to the St. Regis and also a walk away from the terrific new restaurant, Infigo's. Hideaways Beach right below the cliffs is beautiful (don't carry much with you down the cliff walk). This was the perfect ending to our trip to Kauai. Great Vacation Retreats was amazing to work with. If we travel to Paradise again we will definitely use GVR and be staying at Pu'u Poa. |
