Whether you’re up for hiking on your own private trails, listening to the tranquil sounds of nature while sitting on the screened in porch, relaxing and watching the sunset in the screened in hot tub, roasting marshmallows and making smores at your own private campfire under the starlit sky, BEAR PATCH is perfect for those seeking a romantic getaway or some family fun! For a change of pace, head into the quaint town of New Market for some delicious ice cream or take a dip in the community pool! For those history buffs, New Market offers a historic battlefield site and a yearly reenactment.

BEAR PATCH owners have updated and rejuvenated this great cabin - from cozy country decor and updated kitchen furniture and amenities, to new deluxe pillow top queen bed in the master bedroom and deluxe ultra comfy twin mattresses in the guest bedroom - all for a peaceful and relaxing night`s sleep. The addition of a full-size futon adds more comfortable sitting/sleeping space for guests. BEAR PATCH cabin offers a tranquil, peaceful setting for relaxation and “getting away from it all” with all the comforts of home in any season.
BEAR PATCH is nestled in the Shenandoah Valley and just a short drive from the George Washington National Forest, Sky Line Drive, Luray Caverns and other historic and fun sites.

Please be advised you have rented a mountainous property. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However there are many side roads that are gravel or hard packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines and rough terrain. Most front wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing their property from these roads as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice you may be required to have 4 wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.

| | | Cabin was great. The staff was very helpful as well. We were there during a snow storm (2 ft plus!) and they called to make sure we were o.k and could get out if needed. This cabin is easily accessible with a 4 wheel drive even in a bad storm Cabin was neat and cozy, we would recommend it and stay there again.
