An extraordinary lake rental in Maine; this incredible property is tastefully decorated the way you would expect any great Maine lakeside retreat to be furnished. The Loon House is a sprawling lakeside property including two guest cottages, a hot tub and spectacular views of Megunticook Lake - all a short distance from downtown Camden village and the ocean.
Arriving on the privately situated property just three miles from Camden Village, you will quickly realize how exclusive this property and its location is. Situated at the center of the lake, several dramatic mountain views are apparent. Inside the lakeside main house is a comfortable living room with field stone fire place. A study with pull out couch and wireless internet allows you to keep in touch with the rest of the world. A large kitchen and dining area are a great place to gather over food preparations. A half bath downstairs and a second fireplace in the dining room add further comfort.
Outside, 75 ft away are two guest cottages, one referred to as the Boat House and the other is called the Little House cottage. The Little House cottage is sure to be a favorite. With a queen sized bed and its own full bathroom, and its own gas wood stove it will be a wonderful retreat for a mid-summer`s nap.
The neighboring Boat House is perfect for the younger members of your party. It features an outside shower and full-sized bathroom inside. It also features its own kitchen where a nanny can prepare kid`s meals. This cottage has two full-sized bedrooms down and then 4 twin beds up in a spacious loft. The guest house has a television and wireless internet access.
Outside at the shore of the main house is a waterside fire pit, large 8 person hot tub spa, and a double sized dock from which to swim from.

Cleaning Fee: Yes, because of the large size of this 3-building compound there is a cleaning charge of $25 per hour for the post-rental cleaning - as long as it efficiently takes.
Laundry Fee: Yes, because of the large size of this 3-building compound, and the large number of bed linens and towels that must be washed between rentals there is a laundry charge. Laundry charges will be billed to the guest post-rental at a rate of .99 a pound.
Security Deposit: No, the owner of this property does not require a security deposit, however, guests are still financially responsible for non-accidental damages at the property.

There is not an actual usable sandy beach at this property, but the nearby beach is great for kids and that is why we have classified it as being on or in this case - near a sandy beach.

 | OFF-SEASON PRICING: In order to make some of our larger properties more attractive to smaller groups in the Off-Season, we have created a Custom Pricing Option. Pricing for rentals that occur in the advertised Off Seasons (5/1/12 - 6/15/12 & 9/8/12 - 10/26/12) for this property are based on 4 people. Additional people to occupy the the main house and the Little House will be charged an additional $150 per person - per week if a rental occurs in these time-periods. Guest must select this option during the reservation process. |

Boat Rentals and other amenities offered through On the Water in Maine Inc. are not available at all the properties we offer for rent. Boat Rentals through Maine Watercraft Rentals Inc. are offered Sunday morning to Friday after 4pm and include free delivery to the property.
