Compass Point is located on 1.5 oceanfront acres four miles west of Cable Beach. It is just eight minutes from the Nassau International Airport with hourly flights from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and many flights daily from major international cities. The resort is convenient to the excitement of downtown Nassau and Paradise Island, both known for casinos, nightclubs and duty-free shopping.
There are 13 huts and cottages on stilts and 5 cabana studios, all painted in vibrant Bahamian Junkanoo colours. The huts and cottages are not air-conditioned but were designed with louvered windows to be cooled by tropical breezes... All have private decks facing the ocean.
All of the buildings are decorated with whimsical Junkanoo motifs such as owls, roosters, sunbursts and fish. In contract to the brightly coloured exteriors, the hand-crafted interiors of each unit accent natural woods with batik fabrics.
Guests can also experience a uniquely stylish way of living in the Bahamas by staying at the Compass Point 3 bedroom, air-conditioned sea view apartment nearby and at the 5 bedroom DVilla at next door Love Beach.
Hailed as a work of art by Travel Weekly, Compass Point is a collection of octagonal huts and cottages brightly painted in kids-crayon-box colors-- lavender, teal, blue, tangerine, and pink and is adjacent to famous Love Beach. The hotel is a spot for guests to relax and is often frequented by celebrities visiting The Bahamas. Opposite the hotel is the renowned Compass Point Recording Studio, which has hosted the likes of the Rolling Stones, Robert Palmer, Bob Marley and Lenny Kravitz.
