A Luxury Inn on Maines Coast |
Thank you for visiting The Nathaniel Hosmer Inn online.
The exterior of the inn is a typical New England dwelling - white clapboards and dark green wooden shutters. Walking into the inn, you immediately have a sense of stepping back in time. Early pine antiques, painted furniture, historic colors, painted as well as warmly-hued wooden floors all set the backdrop. Add to this the warm glow of candles, and on a cool or foggy morning, a fire burning brightly in the dining room fireplace, were a full breakfast is served each morning. Old oil portraits as well as etchings, watercolors, and block prints by local artists are hung throughout the inn. Books are scattered everywhere, waiting to be picked up and read in some quiet corner of the inn or in a shady spot on the back terrace.
Our location, a block away from Route 1 (Elm Street and High Street) is a plus for our guests.
All guest rooms have private baths and reflect the comfortable simplicity of the Inn.
We would enjoy having you as our guests. You owe it to yourself to experience the Nathaniel Hosmer Inn.
Come, step back in time.
Sincerely, Dodie and Rich Schmidgall, Innkeepers
